Designed for use in demanding sound pickup applications, the ATND933aH hypercardioid condenser hanging microphone from Audio-Technica features a low profile and excellent response that all contribute to make it ideally suited for suspending over choirs, instrumental groups and theater stages.
It's equipped with a 50ft (15.2m) permanently-attached miniature cable terminated with a female TA3-type connector that attaches to the included ATND8734a Dante™-enabled wall/ceiling plate power module. Also included is UniGuard® RFI-shielding technology that protects the mic from radio frequency interference (RFI).
The power module comes equipped with a UniSteep® 80 Hz low-cut filter, along with a 3-position input gain level selector (+30 dB, +40 dB, and +50 dB), plus a red/green LED status indicator (all controlled remotely via third-party software*). It's engineered to mount in a standard metal U.S. 2-gang electrical box, and its integral RJ45 output jack offers easy network connection via CAT5e (or better) cable.

The microphone provides a uniform hypercardioid polar pattern with 100° acceptance angle, and it also comes supplied with a 2-stage foam windscreen and vinyl-coated steel hanger. It's comes in black, with a white version (ATND933aWH), available separately. Additional interchangeable elements – omnidirectional (360°), hypercardioid (100°) and MicroLine® (90°) – are available separately as well.
This, the latest "a" version model, also offers plug-and-play functionality with AES67 networks, including those that utilize Livewire, RAVENNA and Q-LAN AoIP technologies, and increases the Dante Domain Manager features, adding role-based security, cross-subnet routing, SNMP alerts and more.
