8x8 Processor+8ch Amp(250w/ch@4ohms).
The Ashly PEMA-8250 is a Protea Equipped Media Amplifier 8x8 Processor + 8 channel Amp (250 W).
Introducing PEMA - 'The World's First Powered Processor'. PEMA (Protea Equipped Media Amplifier) is the new definition for value-engineered zoned sound systems. Two versions, PEMA I and PEMA II, are available and include six models each. The difference between versions is only the output power rating. Each model includes a full suite of the latest generation of Ashly's world renowned Protea Digital Signal Processing, an 8x8 matrix mixer and a four or eight channel amplifier.
The amplifier section is directly in-line with the DSP. PEMA I models are rated at 125W/ch @ 4 ohms, 70V or 100V. PEMA II models are rated at 250W/ch @ 4 ohms, 70V or 100V. Additional amplifier functions controlled by DSP include: selection of bridge-mode operation, HPF settings for constant voltage system networks, stereo-linking of channel pairs, MIC/LINE/TEL-PAGE functions on channel 1, full control of ducking priorities and full range remote-gain control capability.
Each model has eight balanced input channels that are software selectable for Mic (-36dBu) or Line (+4dBu) levels. The first channel may also be set for a transformer isolated, TEL-PBX level. Additionally there are eight pairs of summed-mono RCA connectors optimized for consumer line level (-10dBV) devices. Eight preamp Aux outputs allow you to route signals from the matrix mixer to anywhere your system requires.
PEMA's prominent DSP features include: ambient noise compensation, advanced automatic feedback suppression and automatic mixer. These as well as all the common DSP functions you expect use 32-bit SHARC processors with up to a 96KHz sample rate. All programming is accomplished using standard 10/100 Ethernet protocol and Ashly's Protea NE Software on a PC platform. Hot-plug DSP placement allows you to insert any function into any channel block even when running live audio with no recompiling necessary. Automatic DHCP network IP configuration reduces network set up time. Lockable front panel controls and multi-level software security with password access assures you a tamperproof audio system.
Additional features include: network audio routing at matrix mixer to inputs from outputs, or in/out of matrix mixer, 8 link groups on most functions, automatic master clock switchover between network, word clock, AES/EBU, and internal clock, a high-performance analog audio path - dynamic range exceeding 114 dB, support of Ashly digital remote controls, programmable 8 channel 5V logic input or output control, 8 channels of 0 to 5V analog level control, word clock input and output and a front panel full meter bridge with mute keys.
Available Digital I/O options are CobraNet and EtherSound.
100V Versions available upon request.
The PEMA II 8250 is a 8x8 Processor plus 8 channel Amp (250 watts per channel at 4 ohms).
What Is PEMA?.
Ashly's PEMA™ has the feature set that lets Systems Integrators replace a rack of amplifiers and signal processing equipment with a single two-rack space unit. The combination of a 4 or 8-channel amplifier and 8-in x 8-out sophisticated matrix mixing and signal processing brings a new level of technology and innovation to Restaurants, Retail Stores, liturgical Churches and Courtrooms. Systems designers can select either 125W or 250W output units that are a perfect fit for your project based on ceiling height, loudspeaker sensitivity and ceiling speaker density.
PEMA™ is a Restaurant or Retail Store-in-a-box with Ambient Noise Control, Automatic Feedback Suppression, Event Scheduling, a dedicated telephone/PBX input, Dual RCA inputs and paging microphone inputs. It's a liturgical Church-in-a-box with gain sharing Automatic Microphone Mixing, Auto Feedback Suppression and a maximum of 8 wired or wireless microphone inputs. For Courtroom projects, a single PEMA™ offers amplification, an automixer, auto feedback suppression, AUX outputs for recording and a built-in white noise generator for masking sidebar discussions.
